Afternoon Tea

The Terrace Bar & Lounge and also our Langdale Restaurant serve afternoon tea from 12pm to 5pm and can be reserved by contacting Reception by dialling 0 or ordered directly with your waiter.

The closest airport to the hotel is Liverpool John Lennon Airport which is approximately 25.2 miles, or Manchester Airport which is approximately 33.9 Miles. 

Attractions and Activities 'Cinemas'

There is a cinema located at Cheshire Oaks which offers all the latest showings of new releases as well as some classics. To discover what is on and when, please contact them direct on 0871 224 0240.

There are also several bars and restaurants close to the cinema. A member of our Reception Team will be happy to print out driving directions.

Attractions and Activities 'Pubs'

There are many pubs scattered around in and around our neighbouring villages, a member of our Reception Team will be happy to advise and print out driving directions.

Attractions and Activities 'Theatres'

The StoryHouse is a local Theatre in Chester. A member of our Reception Team will be happy to print out a listing of shows along with driving directions or help with taxi bookings

The nearest bank (Lloyds) is located in Boughton which is approximately 2.1 miles away. For specific directions, please contact reception

Baby Cots

We have a limited amount of baby cots and are happy to provide a cot on request.

Bar

Our Terrace Bar & Lounge stocks a fine selection of beverages, wines and spirits. Alternatively, you can sit back and relax with a newspaper and coffee.


Breakfast

Breakfast is served in the Langdale Restaurant from 7am until 10am Monday to Friday and 8am -10.30am Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holidays.

Breakfast times need to be pre-booked with reception.

If you wish to have breakfast served in your room, then please call reception / night prior to place your order. In room Breakfast holds a £5 tray charge will be applied to be invoice

We have free WIFI access all around the hotel. If you experience any difficulties accessing the wireless network, please contact reception

Car Hire & Electric Charging

Enterprise Rent-a-Car is located on Sealand Road, Chester, Bumpers Lane and can be contacted on 0800 0147388

Car Charging is available and is charged at £18 per 24 hours. Please come to reception to gain access to a charge point.

Please note that vehicles parked in our car park are done so at the owner’s risk.

Check Out Times

To allow us to have rooms ready for arriving guests, we ask that you vacate your room by 11am.

If you have booked direct with us you can extend your stay until 12 noon complimentary as a Thank You.

Childcare

We consider Rowton Hall to be a family venue, however, we request that children should always be supervised.

Dietary Requirements

Our Chef at Rowton Hall is keen for all our guests to feel at home, if you have any dietary requirements then he will be pleased to assist.

Dining

It’s not about rules at Rowton Hall. If you arrive late at night, need to leave early or even sleep in, then we will do our best to ensure that you’re not left feeling hungry. We have tried to anticipate some requirements with our room service menu, early breakfast trays and children’s menus, but if you need something out of the ordinary, then simply ask.

Just let reception know your next destination, and they can print onward directions for you along with up-to-date travel news to avoid congestion

Doctor

If you feel unwell, please call reception who can contact a doctor for you if necessary. If you wish to contact them directly, the local walk-in doctors 24 hour surgery is Countess of Chester Hospital, which can be contacted via 111.

Dress Code

Rowton Hall is your home from home so we don’t believe in strict dress codes. As long as you’re relaxed and comfortable, we’re happy.

Early Departure

If you need to leave the hotel early in the morning, please let us know so that we can arrange for breakfast to be delivered to your room. We can also have your account ready for you at reception.

Fire

Detailed plans of your escape route are located near your bedroom door. Please make sure that you know the most direct route out to the Fire Point at the front of the hotel, before you retire for the night.

If you discover a fire, please break the clear plastic panel on the nearest call point. Please do not try to tackle a fire yourself.

Please note that by law we are required to test the fire alarm once a week. We do this at 10am every Tuesday and this should last for 20 seconds

Florist

We have several recommended florists. If you would like to place an order, please contact reception and we will happily arrange this for you. 

During weekends and busy periods we may need up to 48 hours notice of your requirements.

Garages

The closest garage for petrol or diesel is in Rowton (BP). If you require specific dealerships, then reception will be able to source the closest for you.

Guest Supplies

If there is something you forgot to pack or wish you had, please call reception. We might to be able to supply you from our ‘emergency kit'

Hairdryer

A hairdryer is provided within the desk or wardrobe in your room. If you require assistance, please contact reception.

Health & Safety

We take your health and safety extremely seriously. If you have an accident or have cause for concern, then please let the Duty Manager know at the time.

Internet Access

Complimentary WiFi is available throughout the Hotel in both public areas and in bedrooms. If you experience any difficulty in connecting, please contact reception.

Lunch is served in the Terrace Bar & Lounge every day from 12.00 noon

Maps of Area

There is a selection of maps of the local area at reception. The reception team will be happy to print you a map for any other places of interest.

Messages

Any messages received on your behalf will be taken to your room, unless you request an alternative.

Milk

Let reception know if you require fresh milk and we will be pleased to deliver it to you.

There are many opticians in Chester town centre, ask reception for details.

There are plenty of things to do on a rainy day. Reception will be able to advise you according to your preferences!

To make reservations for the Langdale Restaurant, or another stay in the hotel, then reception will be able to assist.

We have The Langdale Restaurant and Cavalier Bar which offers a relaxed setting for you to enjoy our home cooked food.

You will find a safe located in the wardrobe of every bedroom, please use this for all your valuables.

Service Charge

We are extremely proud of our team, all of whom work incredibly hard. Whether working behind the scenes or front of house everyone contributes to make your experience as special as possible. This is why we have introduced a discretionary 3% service charge which will be added to your invoice on check out. The charge will be distributed to all our team members. If you would prefer for this charge to be omitted from your invoice, please just let us know on check out.

Shopping

There is plenty of shopping available at Chester, Cheshire Oaks or Liverpool. Please ask at reception for further details and directions.

Smoking

All our rooms and public areas are strictly non-smoking. If you wish to smoke, please do so in the designated smoking areas outside.

Sport/Outdoor Pursuits

We can arrange for most outdoor pursuits in advance. Alternatively, reception can advise you of sports locally
